Product came in great condition, however, I was disappointed that it took longer to ship than was stated. Oh well, I guess there's a first time for everything right?

This DVD set is even better than watching the series. Package arrived very quickly and the price was the best one around.
Strong start, weaker finish

The difference between this season and season 1 is that whereas season 1 starts off silly and gets intriguing toward the end, season 2 starts off intriguing and gets silly toward the end. Granted there's silliness throughout, but the first half of the season was almost gripping - it rides its gimmick out a bit long though towards the end. There is so much corny dialogue - that'll have you sicker than when they're cutting out someones heart and feeding it to Tera and her boyfriend. Again, this show certainly suffers from stupidity (of the Harlequin romance novel variety). But it does have its moments as well. In a nutshell, season 2 reaches 5 star intensity somewhere in the first half but denegrades to about 3 stars as it drags through the last half and ends its last episode with a good ol' fashioned dollop of mediocrity and the typical bologne dialogue ridiculous scene action that you've come to expect with this show. Oh well, between the lame and the truly exciting, 4 stars is about the average I guess, though it ended pretty weakly in my book. All I can say is "Come on Sookie, give us a break."
True Blood is the best HBO rendition of a vampire flick!

This show is awesome. I like the fact that there is other creatures other than vampires. Each character is so different from each other they never get boring. This is a must see. You won't be disappointed.
VERY GOOD BUT NOT GREAT

The 2nd season continues and doesn't suffer the sophomoric slump typical of many TV series primarily because of the focus and later resolution of the Mary Ann character. There's some further digging into the mortal lives of some of the vampires and Eric seems to have a desire to take Sookie away from Bill. It's about a notch down from season one and like the previous season the 10-12 episodes leave me feeling I've only watched half a season. MY GRADE: B plus; WHEN WATCHED: June and July of 2010.
